In an interview with ABC MUNDIAL, the president and CEO of the World Travel and Tourism Council, Julia Simpson, pointed out at the Sustainability and Investment Summit that the WTTC carried out in Puerto Rico that "we are recognizing in this conference that we have to reach the net zero but also that our tourist activity does not harm our planet"
Gloria Guevara, WTTC President and CEO, said: “While the priority for governments is to keep people safe, this global health catastrophe means a million people a day in the Travel and Tourism industry alone are losing their jobs and facing potential ruin due to the disastrous impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
