Saint-Martin heads to Montpellier to showcase its latest tourism developments to the French market
On September 29, the Saint-Martin Tourist Office will take part in an event organized by Exotismes, bringing together nearly 60 tourism professionals. The destination will be joined by Air Caraïbes, Grand Case Beach Club, Palm Court, La Playa and Star Clippers.
Saint-Martin is continuing to strengthen its presence in the French tourism market with a new professional gathering scheduled for September 29 in Montpellier. The island’s Tourist Office will take part in an evening dedicated to the destination, organized by Exotismes as part of its ongoing collaboration with the Saint-Martin Tourist Office.
The event will bring together nearly 60 tourism professionals, providing an opportunity to meet directly with travel industry representatives, exchange information and present the latest developments and experiences available in Saint-Martin.
The Tourist Office will be joined by several destination partners, including Air Caraïbes, Grand Case Beach Club, Palm Court, La Playa and Star Clippers. Their participation will showcase the diversity of the destination, from air connectivity and accommodation to travel experiences and cruising.
The Montpellier event is part of Exotismes’ 2026 roadshow, which is visiting several French cities between September and November. Following events in Marseille, Lyon and Annecy, Montpellier is scheduled for September 29, followed by Nice, Toulouse, Paris, Metz, Rennes, Bordeaux and Lille.
The meeting also comes at a time of renewed air connectivity for Saint-Martin. Air Caraïbes is scheduled to resume direct flights between Paris-Orly and Princess Juliana International Airport on October 15, operating two weekly frequencies during the 2026-2027 winter season. The airline also maintains regional connections between Saint-Martin and other Caribbean destinations.
Saint-Martin is also receiving additional international visibility through a new partnership announced at IFTM Top Resa. In November, the island will welcome the 31 regional candidates for Miss France 2027, in a project involving the Saint-Martin Tourist Office, Air Caraïbes and the Miss France organization. The initiative will highlight the island’s Caribbean landscapes, heritage and cultural richness.
Against this backdrop, the Montpellier event provides another opportunity for Saint-Martin to connect directly with French travel professionals and highlight a destination combining Caribbean beaches, gastronomy, hospitality, sailing, tourism experiences and a distinctive cultural identity.
The objective is to strengthen relationships with the professionals who sell the destination in France while presenting, together with its tourism partners, the latest opportunities and experiences available for the upcoming season.
