City of Hollywood, Florida, Showcased Its Unique Blend of Beaches, Events, and Quality of Life at IPW 2026
At IPW 2026 in Fort Lauderdale, the City of Hollywood had a strong presence within the Visit Lauderdale booth, where ABC MUNDIAL spoke with Arlene Borenstein, Communications Manager for the region, who presented the destination’s main tourism and community attractions.
Borenstein explained that Hollywood, Florida, continues to grow as an ideal alternative for travelers seeking a more relaxed and authentic experience, strategically located between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
“Hollywood has a different and unique energy,” the spokesperson said, clarifying that this is Hollywood, Florida — not the famous California city. According to her, many international visitors discover the appeal of this coastal destination in Broward County during IPW.
One of the destination’s most iconic attractions is the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, an almost two-mile oceanfront promenade where tourists and residents can walk, jog, bike, or rollerblade in a peaceful, vehicle-free environment.
“It’s a place where you can relax, enjoy time with family or as a couple, and truly feel at peace,” Borenstein said while describing the Hollywood Beach experience.
The representative also highlighted Downtown Hollywood, a walkable district filled with international restaurants, cafés, pubs, and multicultural dining options that reflect the diversity of the local community.
“You can find Colombian restaurants, Spanish cuisine, Irish pubs, bakeries, and much more. You feel at home,” she explained.
Another aspect that differentiates Hollywood is its identity as a residential city with a strong sense of community, where visitors and residents coexist in a relaxed and safe atmosphere.
Borenstein also emphasized the city’s annual calendar of free events, including Halloween celebrations, Christmas activities, themed parades, and family-friendly events open to both residents and tourists.
“We want everyone to feel welcome, no matter where they come from,” she said, recalling that the city’s founder envisioned Hollywood as an open community for people from around the world.
Its proximity to Miami — approximately 30 minutes away depending on traffic — also allows visitors to combine the energy of a major city with the tranquility of a more relaxed and family-oriented beach destination.
Hollywood’s participation at IPW 2026 reflected Greater Fort Lauderdale’s strategy of showcasing the diversity of experiences available throughout the region, beyond the traditional beaches and shopping centers of South Florida.
