IPW 2026 concluded in Fort Lauderdale with a highly positive outcome for the U.S. travel industry and participating destinations during the country’s leading international inbound travel trade show. Organized by U.S. Travel Association with the support of Visit Lauderdale, the event brought together nearly 5,000 delegates from more than 60 countries, including international buyers, media and tourism industry leaders.

Under the theme “IPW 2026 Unites the Industry to Welcome the World,” the event highlighted the critical role international visitors play in the U.S. economy and the industry's collective effort to expand inbound tourism in the coming years.

According to figures released during the event, IPW is expected to drive nearly 11 million international visitors to the United States over the next three years, generating an estimated $26.1 billion in spending, supporting more than 63,000 American jobs and producing $3.3 billion in tax revenue.

“At a time when global competition for international travelers has never been fiercer, the U.S. travel industry showed up united and strong,” said Geoff Freeman. “IPW is not just a trade show; it is an investment in billions of dollars in future spending, American jobs and the global reputation of the United States as a destination that welcomes visitors.”

Over three days, more than 75,000 business appointments connected U.S. tourism suppliers with international buyers and media representatives. The program also included press conferences, networking events and immersive experiences designed to showcase the diversity of travel experiences across the United States.

For Greater Fort Lauderdale, hosting IPW 2026 represented a major opportunity to strengthen its international positioning. The destination’s beaches, entertainment, culinary scene, air connectivity and tourism infrastructure were prominently featured throughout the week.

“IPW 2026 was an incredible opportunity to showcase the energy, accessibility and continued evolution of Greater Fort Lauderdale to travel professionals and media from around the world,” said Stacy Ritter. “The connections made during the week will continue driving meaningful business and international visitation for years to come.”

ABC MUNDIAL Expanded Its International Coverage at IPW 2026

ABC MUNDIAL delivered extensive on-site coverage from Fort Lauderdale, conducting exclusive interviews, attending press conferences, holding business meetings and producing multimedia content for both Spanish-speaking audiences and the growing English-language travel market.

ABC MUNDIAL’s participation at IPW 2026 strengthened relationships with destinations, tourism boards, hotel brands, cruise companies and attractions across the United States, while reinforcing the media outlet’s position as one of Latin America’s most active international travel news platforms with expanding reach in the U.S. market.

Among the main topics covered by ABC MUNDIAL during IPW 2026 were destination developments in Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Las Vegas and New York, hotel investments, new tourism experiences, cruises, theme parks, airline connectivity and global travel trends.

One of the major conclusions from this year’s edition was the growing importance of South Florida as an international tourism hub and a key gateway for Latin American travelers visiting the United States.
