Cruise America Expands in South America with Tailor-Made Motorhome Travel Experiences Across the U.S.
At IPW 2026, Cruise America and Cruise Canada reaffirmed their strategic interest in the Argentine and Latin American markets, highlighting the growing demand for outdoor experiences and motorhome travel across the United States and Canada.
In an interview with ABC Mundial, Randall S. Smalley explained that Argentina has become one of the fastest-growing international markets for the company.
“We are seeing strong interest from the Argentine market. We have developed numerous trade partnerships and more and more travelers are looking for outdoor tourism experiences,” Smalley said during the IPW 2026 event.
Flexible Travel Experiences Across North America
With more than 50 years of experience in renting Class C motorhomes, Cruise America is positioned as the largest and most recognized RV rental company in North America, operating a fleet of more than 5,000 vehicles and over 110 locations across the United States and Canada.
Smalley highlighted that one of the main attractions for international travelers is the flexibility of one-way rentals, allowing customers to pick up a vehicle in one city and drop it off in another, enabling long-distance road trips across North America.
He also clarified that no commercial driving license is required. “With a valid Argentine driver’s license and a credit card, that is enough. The vehicles are very easy to drive,” he explained.
The company currently offers 45 fly-drive locations, allowing travelers to combine international flights with road trip experiences through national parks, scenic routes, and major tourist destinations in both the United States and Canada.
Sustained Growth from the Argentine Market
During the interview, Smalley noted that business from Argentina has grown “from zero to nearly one million dollars,” making it one of the most dynamic outbound markets to the United States in percentage terms.
“We believe that together with Cristina and the team in the Argentine market we can continue to grow in the coming years,” he stated.
In this context, Smalley also highlighted the work of Cristina MacDougall, who has been instrumental in strengthening the brand’s positioning and developing commercial partnerships with travel agencies and operators in the country.
Cruise America’s participation at IPW 2026 underscores the growing interest of the North American tourism industry in attracting Latin American travelers seeking personalized travel experiences, nature-based tourism, and road trips across the continent.
