Caroline Beteta will retire as CEO and president of Visit California in September 2026 after 30 years of leadership. The board has formed a search committee, led by Ken Potrock of The Walt Disney Co., to find her successor. Beteta has been instrumental in building California's tourism economy, leading initiatives such as the nation's first statewide tourism assessment program and global marketing campaigns.
