Visit Lauderdale, the official destination marketing organization for Greater Fort Lauderdale, has been nominated for Best Tourism Board – U.S. in the highly respected Travvy Awards 2025, widely known as the “Academy Awards of the travel industry.”

Organized by TravelPulse and AGENTatHOME, the Travvy Awards honor the top destinations, hotels, cruise lines, airlines, and tour operators, with winners chosen by travel advisors and industry professionals. The 11th annual gala will take place on November 6, 2025, at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, coinciding with the CruiseWorld event.

Visit Lauderdale’s track record of success

In recent years, Greater Fort Lauderdale has achieved remarkable tourism growth. In 2024, the destination welcomed over 16 million visitors, generating more than $15 billion in economic impact. Hotel occupancy rates consistently outperform the state average, driven by a diverse offering of beaches, cultural attractions, nature experiences, and year-round events.

Visit Lauderdale’s award-winning campaigns have promoted the destination as “Everyone Under the Sun”, emphasizing inclusivity, diversity, and authentic local culture. The organization also invests heavily in partnerships with airlines, cruise lines, and international tour operators to boost accessibility and visitor numbers.

A major year ahead: IPW 2026
Looking forward, Fort Lauderdale will host the IPW 2026, the premier U.S. inbound travel trade show, co-organized by Visit Lauderdale. This event is expected to attract thousands of travel industry leaders from over 70 countries, further solidifying the city’s position as a global tourism hub.

Voting is open until September 5 at Travvy Awards Voting Page. Visit Lauderdale encourages travel advisors and supporters to cast their vote and help bring the award home to Greater Fort Lauderdale.

“We do it for the locals. The visitors. The explorers. We’re honored to be nominated and proud to represent our community on a national stage,” said the Visit Lauderdale team.
