Taylor Swift has officially announced her 12th studio album, titled The Life of a Showgirl. The announcement came early Tuesday, shortly after a countdown timer on her official website expired at 12:12 a.m. While no exact release date has been revealed, fans were informed that vinyl editions will ship before October 13.

The pop superstar's marketing team, Taylor Nation, teased the release on TikTok with a slideshow of 12 images showing Swift dressed in orange, hinting at a new era. A limited edition vinyl in "Portofino orange glitter" and a special cassette edition are available for pre-order on her website.

Adding to the excitement, Swift is set to appear on the "New Heights" podcast, hosted by her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce, where a teaser showed her pulling the album from a briefcase. The official album artwork remains blurred, maintaining an air of mystery.

The Life of a Showgirl follows Swift’s previous album, The Tortured Poets Department (2024), which was released during her record-breaking tour that grossed over $2.2 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing tour of all time.

This release also marks Swift’s first since she regained ownership of her entire catalog, which she bought back from Shamrock Capital in May 2025.
