Universal Orlando Resort is about to set a new milestone in the entertainment industry with the grand opening of its highly anticipated Universal Epic Universe, the destination’s fourth theme park, set to open its doors on May 22, 2025.

During Vitrina Turística ANATO 2024, Daniela Madrid, Senior Manager of Business Development at Universal Destinations & Experiences, shared exclusive details with ABC MUNDIAL about what visitors can expect from this major debut.

"We are excited to use ANATO as a launchpad for promoting Epic Universe in Latin America. This new park will completely change the way travelers plan their vacations in Orlando," Madrid stated.

With the arrival of Epic Universe, Universal Orlando will transition from a three- to four-day destination into a full week-long experience, featuring four theme parks and eleven hotels suited to all budgets.

Five Worlds, One Epic Experience

Epic Universe will offer an unprecedented immersive experience, featuring five themed lands connected by a central area called Celestial Park, which serves as the gateway to each universe:

• How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk: Visitors can become Vikings and soar alongside dragons in a land inspired by the hit animated saga.
• The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic: A journey into the magical world, featuring the iconic Ministries of Magic from both the UK and France, with attractions based on Fantastic Beasts.
• Dark Universe: A tribute to Universal’s classic monsters, including Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolfman, set in a fully immersive atmosphere of horror and mystery.
• Super Nintendo World: An adventure featuring Nintendo’s most iconic characters, such as Mario, Luigi, and Donkey Kong, in a fully interactive environment.
• Celestial Park: The heart of the park, featuring futuristic gardens, lakes, and a variety of restaurants and shops.

More Hotels and Culinary Experiences

To complement the expansion of the destination, Universal Orlando Resort will open three new hotels near Epic Universe: Stella Nova, Terra Luna, and Helios Grand Hotel, the latter being located within the park and offering spectacular panoramic views.

Additionally, Madrid highlighted that Universal continues to invest in enhancements and new attractions across all its parks:
"Epic Universe is the big star of 2025, but we bring something new every year. Last year, we opened DreamWorks Land, featuring characters like Shrek and Trolls, and we recently introduced Minion Land, a themed area entirely dedicated to the Minions and other Illumination productions."
