Wyndham Bogotá: Technology, Comfort, and Strategic Location for Business Tourism
The Wyndham Bogotá Hotel, part of the prestigious Wyndham Hotels & Resorts chain, reaffirms its commitment to excellence in hospitality and service ahead of the upcoming ANATO Tourism Showcase. In an exclusive interview, Luis Guillermo Galvis, the hotel’s General Manager, highlighted the latest technological innovations and strategic advantages of staying at this property.
Located at “the best corner of Bogotá”, Wyndham Bogotá is just 15 minutes away from El Dorado International Airport, Plaza de Bolívar, the Gold Museum, and Monserrate. Additionally, it is within close proximity to the city’s most important convention center and the U.S. Embassy, making it a prime choice for both business travelers and tourists. “Our location allows us to offer quick and convenient access to the city’s main points of interest,” Galvis explained.
With over a decade of operation, the hotel has been a key player in Bogotá’s hospitality industry. “We launched in 2015 during a challenging period of hotel industry growth. Despite the pandemic, we never closed our doors, continuing to serve airline crews and essential travelers,” Galvis stated. “We hosted cargo flight crews and the few commercial flights operating at the time, which allowed us to remain active while maintaining our high service standards.”
Among the hotel’s main innovations is its high-speed wireless network, considered the fastest in Bogotá. “We’ve invested in improving our connectivity, which has raised our review scores to an average of 9.4. Connectivity is essential for modern travelers who need a fast and stable service for both work and leisure,” Galvis noted.
The hotel has also introduced Bluetooth-enabled door locks to enhance the guest experience. “The new locks will allow guests to access their rooms using their mobile phones, ensuring greater convenience and security,” he explained. Additionally, the hotel is undergoing renovations in the lobby, the Mediterráneo restaurant, and the convention center. “We want to offer modern, comfortable, and functional spaces that cater to our guests’ needs,” he added.
Regarding its participation in the ANATO Tourism Showcase, Galvis confirmed that the hotel provides private transportation for guests attending the fair. “We are just five minutes from the airport and offer complimentary breakfast. Our facilities have been adapted so that event attendees can work comfortably from the hotel,” he said.
Wyndham Bogotá has also seen significant growth in the Peruvian market and an increase in international travelers. “The Peruvian market is very important to us. Many of our guests come from there, which is why we have incorporated traditional Peruvian dishes into our dining options,” Galvis revealed.
Furthermore, the hotel has hosted major sports and entertainment delegations. “We welcomed soccer teams during the Women’s World Cup and international artists visiting the city for concerts. Our proximity to the stadium and the main event arenas has made us a preferred choice for these travelers,” Galvis said.
With an unwavering commitment to innovation and quality, Wyndham Bogotá continues to be a leading choice for ANATO Tourism Showcase attendees and for both business and leisure travelers in Colombia’s capital.
