New Delhi, India – On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm greetings to the nation as India marked its 76th Republic Day with a grand parade and displays of military prowess. In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi expressed hope that this occasion would bolster efforts to uphold the principles of India's Constitution.

"Happy Republic Day. Today, we celebrate 75 glorious years of being a Republic. We bow to all the great women and men who made our Constitution and ensured that our journey is rooted in democracy, dignity and unity. May this occasion strengthen our efforts towards preserving the ideals of our Constitution and working towards a stronger and prosperous India," remarked Prime Minister Modi.

The highlight of the day was the vibrant parade in New Delhi, which showcased India's diverse cultural heritage and military strength. Thousands gathered to witness the meticulously choreographed spectacle, featuring impressive displays such as missile systems, fighter jet flypasts, motorbike stunts, and floats representing different Indian states.

President of Indonesia, Droupadi Murmu, graced the occasion as the guest of honor, underscoring the significance of international relations in India's celebrations. Prime Minister Modi, along with several government officials and leaders, including President Murmu, attended the event at the ceremonial Kartavyapath boulevard.

The Republic Day celebrations reaffirmed India's commitment to democracy and unity, encapsulating the spirit of the nation's journey since becoming a republic.
