Aruba – Just days before the start of the new year, the prestigious Bucuti & Tara Nature Reserve - GMC was the setting for a significant event that reaffirmed Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort’s environmental commitment. In a day dedicated to sustainability, the Ban Lanta y Planta initiative spearheaded the planting of 116 native trees, bolstering reforestation efforts in Aruba and marking 2024 as a year of positive environmental impact.

With 13 hectares permanently dedicated to preservation, the reserve has witnessed numerous actions in favor of nature throughout the year. Notably, 55 trees were planted in April to commemorate the 55th Earth Day, with participation from students, teachers, and the local community, emphasizing the importance of educating and raising awareness among younger generations.

The Ban Lanta y Planta initiative, co-founded by Ewald Biemans, CEO of Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, has been a key player in these activities. With December's recent planting, the movement reached significant milestones, including the planting of its 1,000th tree—a collective effort to mitigate climate change and protect the local ecosystem.

The close of 2024 reflects Bucuti & Tara’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and its role as a leader in responsible tourism. This exclusive destination in Aruba has been recognized for its exceptional dedication to luxury, wellness, and sustainability. Forbes Travel Guide, renowned for its meticulous evaluation of luxury hotels, restaurants, and spas, has highlighted Bucuti & Tara for its outstanding service and innovative approach to guest well-being.
