Simoca's Secretary of Tourism, Luis Álvarez, alongside Sisto Teran, head of the Casa de Tucumán in Buenos Aires, hosted the presentation, highlighting the crucial support from Governor Osvaldo Jaldo and local mayor Elvio Salazar, as well as the Ente Tucumán Turismo. "This festival is not only a celebration of the sulky, but a tribute to our rural identity and to the community that makes it possible year after year," Álvarez said during the event.
The Sulky Festival will not only feature thrilling competitions with the distinctive horse-drawn vehicles but also a diverse cultural program including parades, folk dance academies, and outstanding musical performances. "It’s an honor to welcome renowned artists such as Los Manseros Santiagueños and Eugenia Quevedo, who will bring their talent to enrich our festivities," Álvarez added, excited about the event's cultural impact.
Among the highlights of the lineup are talented artists like Cristian Herrera, Eugenia Quevedo & LBC, Lázaro Caballero, Iván Ruiz, and Los Cuatro de Salta, ready to energize the audience with their performances. Additional acts include Tunay, Por Siempre Tucu, Los Fronterizos, Los Manseros Santiagueños, and Los Cuatro de Córdoba, among others. During the festival, a special recognition will be given to traditional groups, whose rhythm and energy will ensure that each night is a true celebration of folklore and popular music.
Beyond the main events, attendees will be able to enjoy a wide variety of gastronomic offerings, from cured meats to the traditional milanesas and regional grills. Local craft stalls will complete the experience, offering unique handmade products that reflect the skill and creativity of the people of Simoca.
On Saturday night, the stadium of Club Unión will be the epicenter of excitement with an unmissable musical show, headlined by the talented Cristian Herrera and accompanied by various groups that promise to make everyone in attendance vibrate with their music.
The festivities will conclude on Sunday, coinciding with Mother’s Day, with a grand finale featuring more live music and special raffles, ensuring that every visitor leaves with unforgettable memories of this one-of-a-kind celebration.
