Royal Caribbean International and GRAMMY-winning singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor hosted the party of the summer for the new Utopia of the Seas in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida. This spectacular event marked the beginning of the short getaway season, which officially starts on Friday, July 19, with 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday escapes to Royal Caribbean's award-winning private destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay, and Nassau in The Bahamas.

Royal Caribbean International and Meghan Trainor celebrated the arrival of Utopia of the Seas with a grand party in Port Canaveral. Trainor, the godmother of the new ship, led the christening event on board, with over 4,000 guests in attendance, including the legendary Rev Run and DJ Ruckus, along with Royal Caribbean crew members and executives.

The celebration was a special occasion to honor the people and work behind Utopia and the vibrant energy this new offering brings. Trainor, known for her hit "All About That Bass," took the stage at the iconic open-air AquaTheater to bless the ship, its crew, and the millions of passengers who will enjoy Utopia in the coming years. The event reached its peak when Trainor performed live for the audience, including more than 50 of her fans selected from over 20,000 entrants in a contest to attend.

The welcome party marked the start of a 3-night celebration and cruise featuring a series of events, including a live concert by Trainor at Perfect Day at CocoCay. "Being Utopia’s godmother and being here for this incredible celebration with Royal Caribbean is a dream come true," said Meghan Trainor. "From performing on a breathtaking stage in the middle of the ocean to having my fans here to sing and dance with me, and experiencing it all with my family, Utopia truly is the ultimate short getaway.
