Royal Caribbean International officially welcomed Utopia of the Seas to its fleet. In Saint-Nazaire, France, the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard handed over the keys of the Utopia to Royal Caribbean, making the ship ready for its debut in July at Port Canaveral - Orlando, Florida.

Saint-Nazaire, France - Utopia of the Seas, the latest and highly anticipated cruise ship from Royal Caribbean, has officially joined the fleet in an impressive celebration. The handover ceremony took place at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard, where Royal Caribbean received the keys to their new ship just five weekends before its debut in Port Canaveral, Florida, in July.

More than 1,600 workers and crew members gathered in the exclusive AquaTheater to commemorate this significant milestone in the ship's construction. The celebration was attended by Jason Liberty, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group; Michael Bayley, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean International; and Laurent Castaing, General Manager of Chantiers de l'Atlantique.

"Receiving Utopia of the Seas is an incredibly important milestone, as it marks a new evolution of our game-changing ships and our mission to create the best vacation experiences responsibly," said Jason Liberty. "From the best multi-generational vacations with Icon of the Seas to weekend getaways on Utopia of the Seas, we are focused on offering a variety of vacation options and memorable experiences for our guests."

In the weeks leading up to its debut on July 19, Utopia will head to the United States as Royal Caribbean teams finalize preparations for its grand opening. This innovative Oasis-class ship is the first of its kind to offer three-night weekend getaways and four-night midweek escapes. Utopia promises an unparalleled experience with more than 40 dining, bar, and celebration options, multiple pools, and both thrilling and relaxing experiences, including the exclusive private island Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas.

"With the delivery of Utopia of the Seas, we have the keys to the ultimate weekend," commented Michael Bayley. "These are the short vacations that combine all the ways to create incredible memories in a three-night weekend or a four-night midweek escape. We are proud and excited for the upcoming debut of Utopia in a big way!"

Utopia of the Seas features five pools to suit any mood, from the most lively to the most tranquil, including an adults-only pool in the Solarium and the exclusive Suite Sun Deck. For thrill-seekers, the FlowRider surf simulator, the 10-story zip line, and the longest dry slide at sea, The Ultimate Abyss, offer exciting experiences.

Perfect Day at CocoCay

Royal Caribbean's private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, offers a variety of attractions, from Hideaway Beach, an adults-only oasis, to 14 water slides and the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean.

Dining and Celebration

The dining options on Utopia include more than 20 choices, such as Royal Railway - Utopia Station, a unique experience that combines adventure, food, and technology, and Izumi in the Park, featuring sushi and Japanese street food. For lovers of wine and Italian cuisine, Giovanni's Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar offers an extended experience over two floors.

For those looking to celebrate, the new Caribbean tiki bar Pesky Parrot and live music on five different stages ensure entertainment for all tastes. Additionally, the Casino Royale features more than 370 slot machines and nearly 30 table games.

With these and many more attractions, Utopia of the Seas is set to offer an unparalleled vacation experience for its guests, setting a new standard in the cruise industry.
