Discover the magic of creativity on the beaches of Treasure Island with 'Sanding Ovations 2023: It's About Time,' one of the most fun and anticipated events of the year, presented by St. Pete Clearwater, the U.S. destination boasting the number one beaches and the most beautiful sunsets. From November 16 to 19, and extending to the second weekend, November 25 to 26, 2023, this unique exhibition promises to transform the sand into 'outSANDing' masterpieces.

Master sand sculptors from around the world will converge on Treasure Island to bring their imagination and unique skills to life. Under the theme 'It's About Time,' renowned artists such as Dan Doubleday, Sue McGrew, Deborah Barrett-Cutulle, Melineige Beauregard, Benoit Dutherage, Fergus Mulvany, Damon Meri, Abe Waterman, Jonathan Bouchard, Morgan Rudluff, and Bruce Phillips will create a wonderland in the sand.
This event goes beyond sand sculpture: relax in the beach food court, explore the craft market, and enjoy the outdoor brewery. Windworks of Madeira Beach will provide kites and night flights for a unique experience. With fireworks lighting up the sky on Saturday and performances by local, regional, and national bands, 'It's About Time' is a must-attend experience in beautiful Treasure Island.
Sanding Ovations presents 'It's About Time' for free and is open to the public. The history of sanding ovations dates back to 2001 when Treasure Island was proclaimed the sand sculpture capital of Florida.
Before attending, please note that the event will not accept cash payments, ensuring an efficient and safe experience for all attendees. Also, respect local regulations, such as the prohibition of animals, glass, smoking, or vaping on the beach.
The schedule for the main event includes activities from Thursday, November 16, to Sunday, November 19, with public voting for sand sculptures on Saturday. There will also be an emotional Suncoast World Remembrance Day Ceremony on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. on the main beach stage.
