How to request an appointment for a bivalent COVID vaccine at CVS and Walgreens pharmacies in the US

A few days ago I was in Orlando for work and before returning I took the opportunity to receive a booster of the Pfizer bivalent COVID vaccine. In my case I got vaccinated at a Walgreens pharmacy in Kissimmee but here I explained step by step how to get vaccinated at CVS, Walgreens pharmacies or among other places in the US.

Traveling to the United States to get vaccinated against COVID-19 for free is something that has already become commonplace for tourists from Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and other Latin American countries, where vaccination processes are slow.

In addition, some Latin American countries do not yet have the bivalent COVID19 vaccines, so the vacation trip to the US has another strong argument.

Why is it convenient to apply the bivalent COVID19 vaccine?

The bivalent vaccines applied in the US combine in the same application a stimulus for the creation of antibodies both against the Spike protein, present in the initial variants of the infection, and for the omicron mutations; particularly the sub-variants BA.4 and BA.5.

The updated boosters against COVID-19, with protection against the Omicron variant, are now available and are recommended for people 12 years and older who have completed their primary series or received their last booster dose at least 2 months ago.

To schedule a vaccination appointment at a CVS or Walgreens pharmacy you can do it online at their websites.

To select a shift and choose the nearest pharmacy, you must keep in mind the Postal Code or ZIP of the place where you are.

In addition to personal data, they will be asked for an email, address and telephone number in the US.

What type of vaccine are you requesting and a brief reference about your state of health and contraindications.

The shift can be achieved for the same day.

Possibly all this information should be completed and signed in person at the time of the vaccine application.

In several states, including Florida, New York and California, foreigners can get vaccinated for free just by presenting identification, such as a passport or driver's license.
