The sixth and final ship in NCL’s Prima Class will debut in May 2028, offering seven-day round-trip Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona. The vessel will feature expanded outdoor spaces, family attractions, infinity pools and exclusive luxury accommodations.

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has opened bookings for Norwegian Bella™, its newest ship, which is scheduled to begin sailing in May 2028 with seven-day round-trip Mediterranean itineraries departing from Barcelona, Spain. The vessel will become the sixth and final ship in the company’s innovative Prima Class, further expanding NCL’s presence in one of the world’s leading cruise destinations.

Measuring approximately 344 meters in length and weighing 170,000 gross tons, Norwegian Bella will accommodate 3,921 guests at double occupancy. Its inaugural season will feature destinations including Rome, Florence and Salerno in Italy; Marseille, France; and Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

The ship will introduce experiences inspired by Norwegian Aura, which is scheduled for delivery in May 2027. Both vessels are currently under construction at Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, with interiors developed by internationally recognized architecture and design studios.

“Norwegian Bella marks a historic moment for our fleet as the culmination of our award-winning Prima Class,” said Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. He explained that the ship will bring together guest-favorite experiences, enhanced outdoor areas, family attractions and sophisticated spaces for relaxation.

Outdoor adventures and next-generation water attractions

One of the ship’s signature features will be Ocean Heights™, a multi-level outdoor entertainment complex spanning decks 18 through 21. Designed to evolve throughout the day, the venue will transition from sun-filled activities to an evening gathering space featuring immersive lighting and LED projections.

Guests will be able to enjoy water slides, racing attractions, adventure courses, a ropes course, nine-hole mini golf and Bella Midway, a carnival-inspired entertainment area. Highlights will include Bella Free Fall, The Wave and The Drop, a dry slide that sends riders down ten decks.

Ocean Boulevard, the open-air promenade encircling deck eight, will feature additional seating compared with Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, along with hot tubs, an outdoor bar and Infinity Beach, where guests can enjoy infinity pools and oceanfront relaxation areas.

The pool deck will be more than 15% larger than those aboard Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna. Additional amenities will include a children's aqua park, family-friendly slides and Horizon Park, an outdoor recreational space with lawn games. Adults seeking a quieter setting can retreat to Vibe Beach Club, featuring hot tubs, loungers and daybeds.

Accommodations for every type of traveler

Norwegian Bella will offer approximately 2,000 staterooms, ranging from solo studios and inside accommodations to spacious balcony staterooms designed for families and multigenerational groups.

The ship will also feature 159 suites in The Haven by Norwegian®, NCL’s exclusive ship-within-a-ship concept. Designed by Piero Lissoni and located at the aft of the vessel, The Haven will include an infinity pool, two hot tubs, an outdoor sauna, separate family and adults-only areas, a private restaurant and bar, and 24-hour butler and concierge services.

A distinctive hull design inspired by nature

Continuing NCL’s tradition of commissioning original hull artwork, Norwegian Bella will feature a design by Australian contemporary artist George Rose. Known for bold murals and vibrant botanical compositions, Rose will incorporate vivid colors, organic shapes and a sense of movement to reflect the excitement of travel and discovery.

With bookings now open, Norwegian Bella is set to bring a new combination of Mediterranean destinations, outdoor entertainment and premium accommodations to NCL’s European cruise program in 2028.
