Grenada is preparing to celebrate the fifth annual Dive and Conservation Festival, taking place from October 26 to November 1, 2026, with a programme designed to showcase the destination’s underwater attractions while promoting greater awareness of marine and environmental conservation.

Organized by the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA), the festival has become a signature event on the destination’s tourism calendar, bringing together local dive operators, marine experts, conservation organizations and dive partners from across Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

Held under the theme “Sustainable Legacy,” this year’s edition will highlight the close connection between adventure, marine tourism and environmental responsibility. Visitors and residents will have opportunities to explore Grenada’s underwater sites, learn about coral restoration and reef rehabilitation, and discover initiatives focused on protecting the country’s natural environment.

According to Mrs. Kirl Grant-Hoschtialek, Chief of Operations and Acting CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority, the continued growth of the festival reflects the importance of the natural environment to both tourism and community life. The event also provides a platform for tourism and conservation partners to exchange knowledge and encourage greater appreciation of Grenada’s marine resources.

One of the highlights will be the Conservation Conversations series, which will connect students with experts from different fields and offer opportunities to learn about environmental conservation in the Tri-Island State and beyond. The programme will also include birdwatching, community clean-up activities and experiences encouraging deeper engagement with Grenada’s land and marine environments.

Shanai St. Bernard, Nautical Development Manager at the GTA, described the fifth edition as an important milestone for Grenada’s diving and marine tourism sector. The festival, she noted, brings visitors and residents closer to marine life while reinforcing the shared responsibility of protecting it.

With its combination of underwater exploration, education and community participation, the Dive and Conservation Festival reinforces Grenada’s commitment to sustainable tourism and to preserving the natural assets that will shape the destination’s future.
