Cristiano Ronaldo has opened the door to a lucrative summer transfer by commenting “it has been great being at Real Madrid” moments after helping the team to victory in the Champions League final over Liverpool.

Real won their third consecutive Champions League as they beat Liverpool 3-1 in Kiev. Karim Benzema opened the scoring with Sadio Mane then equalising, before a Gareth Bale double won the game for the Spanish giants.

But immediately after the match Ronaldo, 33, cast doubt on his future at Real Madrid by refusing to commit his future to the club.

When asked about his future, Ronaldo said:  “The main thing was to win, to go down in history”.
