United Airlines has significantly increased its flights to Jamaica by over 50% since 2019, a move warmly welcomed by Jamaica's Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett.
Jamaica is set to host the prestigious Caribbean Travel Marketplace from May 20-22 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre. This event, expected to attract 150 buyer companies and around 1000 delegates, highlights Jamaica's growing prominence in the travel industry.
Jamaica was at the forefront of thought leadership at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. The island, under the stewardship of the Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Edmund Bartlett, immediately created a COVID-19 Recovery Taskforce with public and private sector stakeholders. Based on the innovative initiatives from this Taskforce, Jamaica reopened its borders in June 2020 and never closed since.
