Antigua and Barbuda to host Caribbean Travel Marketplace for the second consecutive year
Antigua and Barbuda is set to welcome more than 500 global tourism industry professionals for the 44th edition of the Caribbean Travel Marketplace, organized by the Caribbean Hotels and Tourism Association. The event will take place from May 12 to 15, 2026, at the American University of Antigua.
This marks the second consecutive year the destination hosts the region’s premier B2B tourism forum, reinforcing its leadership in the Caribbean and its growing position within the MICE segment.
Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment, Charles Fernandez, stated: “The return of Caribbean Travel Marketplace reflects the confidence CHTA has in our ability to deliver at the highest level”.
Meanwhile, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Colin C. James, highlighted the importance of the event: “Marketplace places Antigua and Barbuda at the center of regional tourism business at a pivotal time for global travel”.
Caribbean Travel Marketplace is the region’s leading B2B tourism forum, bringing together suppliers and international buyers to negotiate new business opportunities and drive travel growth across the Caribbean.
CHTA President Sanovnik Destang added: “Marketplace is about results—creating real opportunities, building partnerships, and driving sustainable tourism growth”.
The event will also feature Responsible Tourism Day on May 14, focused on sustainability, and the Direct Booking Summit on May 15, highlighting innovation and industry trends.
This year’s edition will coincide with Antigua and Barbuda’s Culinary Month, offering delegates a unique blend of business and cultural experiences.
