Disney Adventure World officially opens, ushering in a new era at Disneyland Paris
The Walt Disney Company officially opened Disney Adventure World on March 29, marking a major milestone in the evolution of Disneyland París and introducing a fully immersive experience for guests.
The new park represents the most ambitious expansion in the resort’s 34-year history and is part of a €2 billion investment plan that has completely transformed the former Walt Disney Studios Park. The opening was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, along with key Disney executives including Josh D'Amaro and Natacha Rafalski.
At the heart of the expansion is World of Frozen, a highly detailed themed land inspired by Disney’s blockbuster franchise, featuring the flagship attraction “Frozen Ever After,” a boat ride through some of the saga’s most iconic scenes.
The park has nearly doubled in size and introduces newly redesigned areas such as Adventure Way, a central hub where guests can meet characters, explore attractions, and enjoy enhanced dining experiences.
A standout feature is the nighttime show “Disney Cascade of Lights,” which combines 480 drones, water effects, projections, and pyrotechnics to deliver one of Disney’s most technologically advanced spectacles to date.
Innovation also plays a key role in the new offering, highlighted by an advanced Olaf animatronic powered by artificial intelligence, capable of interacting dynamically with guests.
With additional expansions already planned — including a future Lion King-themed area — Disney Adventure World is set to strengthen Disneyland Paris’ position as one of Europe’s leading tourism destinations.
