Saint-Martin officially launches the 2026 tourism season with strategic industry launch days
MARIGOT, Saint-Martin. The Saint-Martin Tourist Office will host its annual Les Journées de Lancement on January 26 and 27, 2026, a key event designed to align the destination’s tourism vision with industry stakeholders and strengthen coordinated marketing actions.
Commissioner of Tourism and Culture Valérie Damaseau said the event was created as a platform to openly share the destination’s strategic direction, engage partners, and ensure stakeholders can actively participate in initiatives that drive tourism growth.
“Our goal is to ensure that stakeholders clearly understand where we are going and how they can contribute to the marketing activations that support the development of Saint-Martin,” Damaseau stated.
The program will include roundtable discussions with hoteliers, restaurant owners, and seasonal rental agencies, as well as technical workshops and one-on-one meetings with the Tourist Office, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and employment institutions. These sessions will focus on market trends, upcoming campaigns, sector challenges, and the continued development of experiential tourism.
Damaseau also emphasized the importance of the event as a listening platform for industry professionals. “Through open forums and shared discussions, we invite feedback that helps refine our strategy. It is about transparency, collaboration, and collective ownership of our tourism future,” she said.
The 2026 tourism season launch represents one of the first major strategic actions of the year for Saint-Martin, reinforcing the island’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and global competitiveness in the Caribbean tourism market.
