The 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards, held on January 11, 2026 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, crowned the standout film and television achievements of the year, setting the tone for the upcoming awards season.

In the film categories, “Hamnet” secured Best Motion Picture – Drama, while Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” swept the night in the Musical or Comedy categories, winning Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay among its four total awards.

Acting accolades went to Wagner Moura, who won Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for The Secret Agent, and Jessie Buckley, recognized as Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for her performance in Hamnet.

In the comedy and musical acting categories, Timothée Chalamet and Rose Byrne won for their respective leads, while The Secret Agent was honored as Best Non-English Language Film, highlighting the diversity of contenders at this year’s ceremony.

Television winners included HBO’s The Pitt as Best Drama Series, Apple TV’s The Studio as Best Musical or Comedy Series, and the limited series Adolescence, which dominated with four Golden Globes.

Animated features and music also earned distinction: KPop Demon Hunters won Best Animated Feature and its hit song “Golden” was awarded Best Original Song — a notable moment reflecting global cultural influence.
