CHTA Renews Strategic Partnership with Interval International to Strengthen Caribbean Tourism
The Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) has announced the renewal of its longstanding strategic partnership with Interval International, a leading travel membership and vacation exchange company. The collaboration, which spans nearly three decades, continues to reinforce efforts to support the growth of Caribbean tourism and advance workforce development across the region.
CHTA CEO Vanessa Ledesma emphasized that the renewed alliance reflects a shared vision for the sustainable expansion of the tourism industry throughout the Caribbean. “We are honored to continue working with our longtime, trusted partner, Interval International. We greatly value their leadership in shared ownership, their consistent support of the sector’s growth, and their dedication to education and professional development across the region,” she said. Ledesma added that as Interval continues to expand its presence within the association’s membership footprint, the partnership becomes increasingly important in strengthening accommodation providers, elevating service standards, and driving long-term sector growth.
For many years, Interval International has played a critical role in advancing hospitality education through its support of the CHTA Education Foundation, offering training programs and scholarships to Caribbean nationals pursuing careers in tourism. The company has also served on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, contributing strategic guidance and industry expertise to further its mission.
Headquartered in Miami, Interval International operates a global exchange network connecting members to 3,000 resorts across 90 countries, including more than 100 properties in the Caribbean. This extensive footprint underscores the strategic importance of the partnership within one of the world’s most dynamic tourism regions.
Neil Kolton, Assistant Vice President of Client Sales for the Caribbean & Southeast U.S. at Interval International, highlighted the significance of the renewed collaboration. “We are proud of our longstanding relationship with the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association and have witnessed firsthand the organization’s impact on the region’s hospitality and tourism sector. The Caribbean is essential to our clients and members, and CHTA remains a valuable partner driving industry growth,” he noted.
The renewal of this partnership reaffirms both organizations’ commitment to strengthening the Caribbean’s competitiveness and ensuring the region continues to thrive as a premier global destination.
