Honduras continues to establish itself as a premier tourist destination in Central America, with the Pulhapanzak Waterfalls in San Francisco de Yojoa, Cortés, emerging as one of its most remarkable natural treasures. During a visit as part of the PreFam program for the Central America Travel Market (CATM) 2025, international tour operators and media had the opportunity to explore this stunning water and nature site, leaving everyone in awe.

The 141- to 148-foot drop (43–45 meters) of the Río Blanco, with especially strong flow following heavy rains in other regions, offered a spectacular display: curtains of water creating permanent rainbows when they met the sunlight, providing unforgettable sights for visitors and photographers alike.

The adventure extended beyond sightseeing. Participants enjoyed one of the country’s most thrilling experiences: the zip line, also known as canopy, which allows visitors to soar over the waterfall multiple times, cross the river, and get close to the waterfall’s powerful cascade. This activity has become a major attraction, combining excitement, adrenaline, and panoramic views of the natural surroundings.

Visitors also explored ecological trails, panoramic viewpoints, swimming areas in the river, and family recreation zones. The Pulhapanzak Tourist Center offers cabins, restaurants, and picnic areas, enabling guests to spend a full day immersed in adventure and nature. The day concluded with a delicious local meal, adding an extra layer to the experience.

The PreFam program, which tours various regions of Honduras ahead of CATM 2025, aims to showcase the country’s natural, cultural, and adventure-rich offerings. Pulhapanzak Waterfalls, with their impressive drop, trails, zip line, and lush surroundings, exemplify Honduras’ tourism potential—a destination that blends beauty, adrenaline, and authenticity.

As part of the promotion strategy, the and the invited participants to experience more than 15 iconic destinations, with Pulhapanzak standing out as a must-visit for nature and adventure enthusiasts.
