Saint Martin Crowned Caribbean’s Leading Event & Festival Destination 2025 by the prestigious World Travel Awards
Saint Martin has been crowned Caribbean’s Leading Event & Festival Destination 2025 by the prestigious World Travel Awards, a recognition that goes beyond its world-class events — it celebrates its people, its culture, its creativity, and the vibrant spirit of an island that knows how to bring joy to the world.
From the Festival de la Gastronomie to Carnival and every lively celebration in between, Saint Martin continues to prove that its true strength lies in unity, passion, and authenticity.
Accepting the award on behalf of the island, Malaïka Hunt, Communication Officer at the Saint Martin Tourism Office, expressed her pride and gratitude:
“It feels amazing to accept this award on behalf of our island. It’s a huge milestone for a small destination, and I’m a proud St. Martiner tonight,” she said.
When asked what makes Saint Martin stand out, Hunt highlighted the island’s welcoming spirit and its rich cultural calendar:
“St. Martin is the Friendly Island. We host more than 12 annual events, including the St. Martin Food Festival – Le Festival de la Gastronomie, taking place this year from November 11 to 22. If you love food, you simply have to come to Saint Martin,” she invited.
The award reinforces Saint Martin’s position as one of the Caribbean’s most dynamic and creative destinations, where every event is a celebration of cultural diversity and community pride.
Looking ahead, Hunt emphasized that the island is only getting started:
“We’re a small island, but we have big goals and ambitions. This award proves we can compete with the biggest players in the tourism world.”
With its growing portfolio of events, warm hospitality, and authentic island charm, Saint Martin continues to shine as the heartbeat of Caribbean festivals.
