CLEARWATER, Florida – Clearwater is ready to welcome tourists back with its award-winning white sand beach after the recent hurricanes. Visit St. Pete Clearwater actively participated in the start of the 4th Annual “Big Cleanup,” which began on Friday and will run through November 16. This event brought together over 150 volunteers and various organizations, including Keep Pinellas Beautiful, to restore the city's beauty and ensure it remains clean and safe for travelers.

During the first day, participants successfully removed over 1,300 pounds of debris that had accumulated after the hurricanes. Clearwater Mayor Bruce Rector, who also joined the cleanup efforts, highlighted the importance of these initiatives for the community and the environment: “With each helping hand, we’re restoring the beauty to our streets and beaches. This is an invitation for everyone to come, help, and enjoy a restored place.”

The cleanup will continue through November 16, with activities taking place at various locations across the city, especially in key ecological areas. Organizers will also give awards to outstanding volunteers in several categories.

Clearwater Beach, with its fine sand and crystal-clear waters, reaffirms its commitment to sustainable tourism and environmental protection. The city is ready to welcome tourists, offering them a renewed experience and one of the most beautiful beaches in the region.
