Fort Lauderdale is ready to welcome cricket fans from around the world and celebrate this exciting tournament in an unmatched atmosphere alongside the most beautiful beaches in the United States.

Fort Lauderdale is gearing up to be the epicenter of world cricket with the arrival of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The city will host four live matches at the Broward County Stadium, but the celebration doesn't stop there. For the matches not played at the stadium, a special area has been created where fans can enjoy the games on a giant screen, experiencing the excitement as if they were on the field.

India vs. Pakistan:

One of the most anticipated moments of the tournament will be the clash between India and Pakistan, a historic rivalry that transcends the sport. This iconic match will be intensely experienced in Fort Lauderdale with a watch party at The Wharf FTL.

The face-off between India and Pakistan is the most awaited and highest-grossing event of all multilateral cricket tournaments. This rivalry originated in 1947 when India was divided into two countries following British colonial rule. Since then, they have fought three wars and diplomatic relations remain tense.

On the cricket field, Pakistan has the advantage in Test matches (12-9) and One Day Internationals (73-56), while India leads in T20 matches (8-3). However, in World Cup history, India clearly dominates, never having lost to Pakistan in the ICC ODI World Cup and only once in the T20 World Cup.

The last encounter in the Cricket World Cup on October 14 ended with a seven-wicket victory for India at the largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad.

Matches in Fort Lauderdale

The Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, located in the Central Broward Regional Park, will be one of three stadiums in the United States hosting World Cup matches, expecting over 45,000 fans in Greater Fort Lauderdale. The schedule of matches in Fort Lauderdale is as follows:

  • June 11: Sri Lanka vs. Nepal
  • June 14: USA vs. Ireland

The Broward County Stadium, the primary cricket stadium in Greater Fort Lauderdale, opened in 2008 and features two cricket fields, netball courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, a water park, and four soccer fields.
