Mickey Mouse and Mexican soccer goalkeeper Memo Ochoa surprised young players at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, on Thursday, July 20, during the US Youth Soccer National Championship, which took place until Saturday, July 23.

Ochoa and Mickey took photos with over 35 young goalkeeper boys and girls in front of the iconic globe at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, adding more magic to their visit. The young goalkeepers and their teams traveled from all over the United States to compete in this year's tournament.

Ochoa, the captain of El Tri, the Mexican national team, has participated in five FIFA World Cup tournaments and recently led Mexico to their record-breaking ninth CONCACAF Gold Cup championship. The 38-year-old goalkeeper spent time talking with the children, taking photos, and signing autographs, inspiring the athletes in their pursuit of a USYS championship. Ochoa and his family also enjoyed exploring Walt Disney World Resort.

The trip was partly to celebrate Ochoa's 38th birthday and included his first experience on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT. He declared the popular family roller coaster as his favorite attraction at Walt Disney World.

The USYS National Championships provide boys and girls teams with the opportunity to showcase their talents against the best competition in the nation. Over 185,000 athletes on 10,000 teams compete throughout the year at the state and regional levels for the chance to travel to Walt Disney World for the championships.

The event is one of several top-level youth soccer competitions held throughout the year at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
