Police officers across the US have stepped out in support for George Floyd protesters by taking the knee in a show of solidarity.
Protests have erupted throughout the US and internationally after a viral video showed Mr Floyd being pinned down by his neck by a Minneapolis police officer while repeatedly saying he could not breathe. He later died and the officer who was filmed holding him down has been charged with murder.
Amid the protests in Queens, New York City, members of the New York Police Force (NYPD) could be seen kneeling with protesters after being invited by a pastor. Protesters then recited names of black people who had died in conflicts with the police.
Similar scenes were mirrored across the country, with many officers speaking out to denounce the killing.
