Shah Rukh Khan has come out in support of the toddler whose searing video, trying to wake up his dead mother at Bihar's Muzaffarpur railway station, went viral on social media.
Shah Rukh Retweeted Meer Foundation's tweet and wrote, "Thank you all for getting us in touch with the little one. We all pray he finds strength to deal with the most unfortunate loss of a parent. I know how it feels ... Our love and support is with you baby. (sic). "
Shah Rukh lost father in 1981 when he was just 15 years old. His mother died in 1991.
In its tweet, Meer foundation, charity organization founded by Shah Rukh Khan, thanked all those who have helped them get in touch with the toddler. They said that the foundation is supporting him and he is currently under his grandfather's care.
Last week, the video of the toddler trying to wake up his dead mother at Muzaffarpur railway station went viral. The woman was among the migrant workers who had boarded the special Shramik train from Ahmedabad for her village in Katihar, Bihar on May 23. On May 25, she died on the train. Her body was handed to her family at Muzaffarpur railway station.
Many migrant workers have been rendered jobless after the coronavirus lockdown. This has forced many to return to their homes.
