Julia Simpson, President and CEO of the WTTC, presented the results of the Economic Impact Research (EIR) 2024 during her working visit to Mexico and estimated that it will be a record year for travel and tourism in the country.
The WTTC foresees a promising future for tourism in Spain, with significant growth in GDP and job creation, as well as an increase in spending by international and domestic visitors.
The figure represents a 7.5% increase compared to the peak levels of 2019. Currently, the global tourism sector generates almost 348 million jobs worldwide.
