FC Barcelona's viability plan has finally received the green light from La Liga, making it now possible for Lionel Messi to return to the club.

Barcelona have been given hopes of bringing Lionel Messi back to the club, after Messi’s father and agent Jorge confirmed his desire to do so.

Jorge Messi was spotted leaving Barcelona President Joan Laporta’s house, after the pair were seen meeting to discuss his son’s future. Lionel Messi left Paris Saint-Germain at the weekend, leaving him as a free agent this summer.

Following the meeting, Jorge Messi confirmed his son's desire to come back to the Blaugrana.

Messi is a free agent on June 30 and announced his departure from current club Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday ahead of the Ligue 1 giants releasing an official statement confirming the development.
