To participate in the WTTC Summit in Perth, Australia, I had the opportunity to travel an impressive total of 34,000 kilometers, visiting some of the most fascinating destinations in the world. This journey was not only an enriching experience but also a chance to reflect on the current state of the tourism industry and the connections we are forging.
My journey began in Buenos Aires, where I took a flight to Santiago, Chile. From there, the next destination was Auckland, New Zealand, where the warmth of the people and the natural beauty of the place took my breath away. After that, I explored the vibrant cities of Sydney and Melbourne, each with its own distinctive character, before returning to W
The WTTC Summit was not just a networking event but a platform for debating the future of tourism. Topics such as sustainable tourism, travel technology, and customer experience dominated the discussions, and I felt fortunate to be surrounded by leaders and visionaries in the industry.
I took every opportunity to interact with colleagues and learn from their experiences. During this journey, I had the chance to visit Norah Tomassini in Orlando, my friend and mentor in the tourism sector. Her guidance has been invaluable, illuminating the path in this vast ocean of opportunities.
And here’s a fun thought: after so many travels, I was just 6,000 kilometers short of circling the globe! The Earth's circumference is about 40,075 kilometers (24,901 miles) at the equator. However, with so many incredible destinations to explore, there are always more kilometers to cover.
In the coming days, my adventure will continue at the Peru Travel Mart 2024 in Lima, an event that will bring together tourism leaders and professionals to establish connections and discover new opportunities in the sector. This is undoubtedly an exciting time for tourism in Peru and around the world.
The tourism industry continues to evolve, and it is essential for us to stay informed and adaptable. For those who want to keep up with the latest news and trends in the sector, I invite you to visit www.abcmundial.com, where you will find valuable and up-to-date information about the world of travel and tourism.
Until the next destination!
