Samarkand, Uzbekistan - In the context of the 25th meeting of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the president of the Argentine Federation of Associations of Travel and Tourism Companies (FAEVYT), Andrés Deyá, highlighted the international recognition of the professionalism of Argentine travel agents. During his participation in the panel on the synergy of public-private work, Deyá emphasized the quality of Argentine professionals, as well as the preservation of natural attractions and the commitment to the protection of tourism.

"The world recognizes the quality of Argentine professionals, our natural attractions, and the way we work to take care of tourism. From FAEVYT, we were able to present the work we do to fight against the illegal sale of tourist services with the FAEVYT Laboratory. We also spoke about the coordination with the public sector and among different private actors and how we work in different thematic committees to promote travel agencies throughout the country in different tourism segments," said Andrés Deyá, highlighting the achievements and efforts of the Federation.

Deyá also highlighted the impact of the Previaje program, calling it a global model that generated great interest and inquiries during his presentation. He also emphasized the importance of consolidating the tourism industry through teamwork, highlighting current and future challenges for the defense and continuous growth of the sector.

The international panel on the synergy of public-private work featured the notable participation of Marta Domenech, Director General of Tourism of Catalonia; Jiyoon Jung, Director of Tourism of Seoul, South Korea; and Eijiro Yamakita, President & CEO of JTB Corporation. The moderation was led by Rebecca Cousins, Senior Director of PR & Communications at Red Sea Global. This panel provided a valuable space for the exchange of ideas and experiences regarding collaboration between public and private entities in the global tourism sector.
