ABC MUNDIAL at the Vatican with Pope Francisco
Every Wednesday the Pope calls for the general audience in St. Peter's Square. ABC Mundial traveled to the Vatican to share with readers the papal audience in person
Every week, the Pope offers a general audience that anyone can attend. Simply access the ticket process at the Pontifical Prefecture early enough to get it.
With access ticket in hand, early in the morning, the faithful are placing in assigned places in the Plaza San Pedro.
Minutes before 10, the Pope makes his entrance to the square aboard the popemobile. After greeting some pilgrims and stopping every few meters, the vehicle (used to use John Paul II) against the oratory stops.
From there, surrounded by cardinals and faithful, Francisco gives his address to the crowd, a message that is then read in seven languages.
About an hour later, the pope retraced his steps and greets disabled, listening to elderly who approach him, take matte and blesses the little ones. It also makes time to congratulate and bless the rings newlyweds.
