China to close North Korean companies with presence in this country
The Asian giant issued the order on Thursday justified in the latest sanctions imposed by the UN to Pyongyang. The measure will take effect in 120 days, comes amid an escalation in the North Korean peninsula and Rex Tillerson's visit to China.
The announcement may be the anticipated end to a deep relationship, the People's Republic of China is the main trading partner of the North Korean regime and has also been its main political ally. But since the United Nations responded to the international request and the Security Council began with the imposition of sanctions on the Kim Jong-un regime this is perhaps one of the hardest blows to North Korea.
China had already announced a week ago the restriction of the oil supply to the neighboring country, as well as the general ban on textile imports, in response to the missile launches and nuclear tests with which the communist government of Pyongyang has defied resolutions the UN and the international community.
While continuing to speak of the need to continue the dialogue to reduce tensions in the region and insisted that the use of military force should not be an option, the closure includes North Korean companies with presence in the country and those that count with mixed capital, Chinese and North Korean, and will take effect in 120 days, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
Within this framework, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson arrives in China to discuss the military crisis with North Korea and prepare President Trump's first trip to the country, scheduled for November. Tillerson, who was in Beijing in March, returns at a particularly critical time because the swords are high with the regime of the young dictator Kim Jong-un. Following his latest and most potent nuclear test earlier this month, Trump and Kim have engaged in a personal accusation duel Pyongyang calls a "declaration of war".
