Extraordinary writer, teacher, activist of Human Rights, guild emblem pen and computer, let us mired in confusión

"How is she going to die if we love her so much!" many said that day in February 2004, when the news came.

Graciela Cabal was leaving, all of a sudden, who knows where but without us. Extraordinary writer, teacher, activist of Human Rights, guild emblem pen and computer, let us mired in confusion. The world would not be the same; everything changed with her departure.

That day I wrote that her death was "a disaster for Argentina culture of democracy". And it was just, because its absence is noticeable both in the field of literary creation as thought and common sense applied to education, family and school.

The endearing Graciela, with its not stiff style was a delightful teacher manners, customs and memories. Loyal and generous friend, while she was able to surprise their thousands of readers, of all ages, because they had more than enough talent, originality and charm, these three materials that make great an artist.

She left written a saga that made and will continue to delight generations of Argentines. She left memorable books as the series of Tommy, that child is so young and thinks and says and proceeds as a child. And its delicious "Family Secrets" her "Barbapedro" her highly original Carlitos Gardel and his corrosive "Little Women were before." With these and other books, Graciela, who affectionately called "Cabalita" lectured intelligence, fairness, decency and good humor.

For years we visited in the Chaco every August, and there was hailed by crowds that filled the forums to be convinced that the world was a little less cruel if it was dyed color Literature.

I'm excited to evoke, so I send a kiss and all my love, wherever you are. •
