United Airlines launches new mobile application for Android

United Airlines provided an entirely new mobile application for the Android platform that offers new functionality, smoother operation and improved tactile and friendly design, which travelers can access information more easily and quickly. The starting point for the new Android version, available at united.com / mobile, is the redesign of the mobile application for the iOS platform 7 by the company last year.

United KitKat optimized for the application, the latest version of the Android operating system. Available for Android latest equipment, it updates the tasks most commonly used by mobile users and introduces some new features for Android, among which:

Travel cards for mobile boarding passes, MileagePlus cards, United Club and other frequently used information that the client can display on the main screen for easy reference.

Travel wallet, which keeps in one place relevant information, such as upcoming reservations and notifications about the status of flights. The customer can use one movement to save the details on the main screen.

It also includes new exclusive features of the Android platform, such as the ability to rotate the screen, stacking multiple boarding passes and use a new widget on the home screen. Similarly for iOS to version 7, the Android version allows you to view seating charts more clearly, purchase options and book tickets Travel Reward on several flights.

This summer will begin introducing its new website united.com. designed to provide an experience simplified and consistent user through various digital channels through which a client can interact with the company.

In 2007, United became the first airline to introduce mobile boarding passes, and is the first in the U.S. to offer mobile boarding at airports serving on U.S. soil. Today, United offers mobile boarding in 55 international airports, more than any other U.S. airline.
