Chrysler will build his Jeep in China

China represents the largest market for Jeep outside the U.S. market, with nearly 60,000 vehicles sold last year

Fiat and Chrysler built three greatest for that vehicle outside the United States new Jeep models in China for the Asian market, at a time when trying to boost sales.

The automakers said they will expand their joint venture with China's Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. Ltd., and increase the supply of Jeeps, which are currently imported by China.

Production is expected to begin in late 2015 in Guangzhou, noted the companies said in a statement, adding that they are considering a Jeep model "designed exclusively for China."

Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat and Chrysler, who plans to complete the merger of Fiat and Chrysler end of the year, said in a statement that the agreement represents the next phase in the "expansion of the Jeep brand on a global scale."

The joint venture involving Chrysler, Fiat and Guangzhou Automotive Fiat formed Viaggio in China, but currently Jeeps occur there.

China represents the largest market for Jeep outside the United States, with nearly 60,000 vehicles sold last year. Ranieri said Jeeps to be built in China will be sold only in that country.

It is expected that Fiat and Chrysler try to increase sales in that market of tremendous growth. Executives of the Jeep brand of Chrysler said that since early 2013 were in negotiations to build some vehicles in China for that market. They said the Jeep Wrangler would be ever built in the United States, but had opportunities for other models.
