YPF was selected host and site of the next National Oil Company Forum (NOC Forum), the most important worldwide for state hydrocarbon companies representing 80% of production and 90% of the hydrocarbon reserves of the world event.
It was key to this decision, the interest aroused among CEO's of oil companies activity being developed by YPF in unconventional, especially in Vaca Muerta, and the results is showing the management of the company in recent years.
The election was held and was announced today by the president of Ecopetrol, Javier Gutierrez, at the close of the eighth edition of the Forum held in Cartagena, Colombia, and in which YPF participated for the first time in its history.
Every two years, the NOC Forum meets for three days, presidents and CEO's of 50 state oil companies to discuss common challenges, joint opportunities, best practices and the role of NOC in the changing global landscape of the energy sector.
The completion of the next NOC Forum in 2016, will allow the Argentina show the country close to the leaders and delegations of national oil major in the world. The program includes an agenda of bilateral and multilateral meetings, and scheduling social and cultural activities for the participants.
The forum is from 2001 and earlier editions were hosts Sonatrach, Algeria; Statoil, Norway; Petrobras in Brazil; Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia; CNOOC, CNPC and Sinopec, China; Pemex in Mexico; TPAO, Turkey; and Ecopetrol in Colombia.
