The claim is Ambassador Alicia Castro, who considered that the retrofitting Argentine defender is used by Britain as an excuse to keep a huge military base in the South Atlantic

So said the Argentina Ambassador to the UK, Alicia Castro, arguing that retrofitting Argentine defender is used by Britain as an excuse to maintain a huge military base in the South Atlantic.

"Here in Britain the normal retrofit of Defense Argentina is presented as a threat to the Malvinas Islands only as an excuse to continue to maintain a huge military base in the South Atlantic, to keep buying weapons and so continue to justify the lack of dialogue" said ambassador Alicia Castro.

"Argentina does not represent a military threat to the United Kingdom or the Malvinas Islands and that here we know, the UK has clear. Argentina and South America are areas of peace”, he added.

"The UK is kept isolated from the opinion of the international community in breach of UN resolutions by its refusal to resume dialogue" highlighted.

"The Argentina never return to war over the Malvinas. That was a decision taken by the military dictatorship", said the ambassador Castro.
